Turquoise Safaris offer both fishing charters and sea lion tours.

I went on a sea lion tour. I was up bright and early in the morning to get on the boat by 7am. The tour guides are so nice and friendly. I love the ocean and swimming with sea life, but I was very nervous about getting in and swimming with the sea lions.

After a 15-30 minute boat ride we had arrived at an island packed with sea lions Everyone else on the tour had got in except me. I told one of the tour guides I was nervous, and she said she would swim with me until I felt comfortable.

The water isn't all that deep, it is extremely clear and a nice temperature. Wetsuits are provided but they are optional. Snorkels and flippers are also provided, and after your swim with the sea lions, snacks and hot drinks are provided.

There is also a toiled on board.

Obviously this experience is not for everyone, but if you are an ocean lover like me, it is definitely an autism friendly experience.
