Lucy Hedley
Hi, I'm Lucy Hedley and I founded Autism Allies WA when I was 16. I was diagnosed with ASD in 2020 and quickly realized that the world was not built for people like me. The lights were too bright in the shops, and the music at restaurants was too loud. I became anxious about going out because I didn't know if the location would be 'autism friendly', so I created a platform to share my favourite autism-friendly locations and businesses.

Here at Autism Allies WA, we know that the world isn't built for people with autism.

We strive to provide the best possible information for those that are autism allies or want to learn more about ASD.

Our main goal is to make WA more autism-friendly, by reviewing and locating places that are autism-friendly.

We offer businesses the option to become certified autism friendly businesses. The following have all received 'Autism Friendly Certification'
CRYSTAL & STONE
Crystal & Stone is a crystal store located in Wangara. Their aim is to bring people together in a safe space where they can enjoy good vibes.

Crystal & Stone try to use 100% natural lighting, and have plenty of spaces to sit and relax.

Crystal & Stone also have a quiet hour at the beginning of every day!!
TURQUOISE SAFARIS
Turquoise Safaris is a boat tour operator that runs out of Jurien Bay. They offer both fishing charters and sea lion tours, where you can snorkel with sea lions!! Turquoise Safaris have ensured that there will always be a staff member on board to swim alongside anyone who needs assistance!
